Keltermuseum Unterjesingen on Saturday, November 18

Dear Members and Guests,

Please join us on Saturday, November 18, 2023 for a visit of the Keltermuseum in Unterjesingen near Tübingen at the small river Ammer. Afterwards we will enjoy a winetasting and have dinner in the Besenwirtschaft „Enzbach“ in Unterjesingen (for further details pls see map >>).

We will meet at the Keltermuseum (wine press museum) at 14:30 and split up into two groups (German/English) to start our tours of the Kelter, the Zeeb House and the „Wagner Häusle“ (wainwright lodge). The Kelter from 1784 is the only one of five former wine presses still remaining in Unterjesingen. The Zeeb House – the large vaulted cellar dates from the 15th century, the house itself was built in 1609. Finally, the wainwright’s lodge – the workshop is still fully functional. Here you can see old tools and machines required to manufacture wheels and carriages.

After the tour we will walk for 6 min to get to the Besenwirtschaft “Enzbach”. At approx. 16:45 we will enjoy a winetasting with 5 different wines. Around 18:15 we will have dinner at the same place. They will serve traditional Swabian meals.

Schedule:
14:30 – 15:00 Meet at the Keltermuseum/Zeeb House (see map >>)
15:00 – 16:30 Guided Tours Keltermuseum, Zeeb House and Wainwright’s Lodge
16:30 – 16:45 Walk over to the Besenwirtschaft “Enzbach” and get settled (walk: 400m, 6 mins)
16:45 Begin the Winetasting
Approx. 18:15 Dinner at the Besenwirtschaft (end of program)

Cost: We kindly ask for upfront payment of 15 € p/p members / 20€ p/p non-members.

Directions:

By car: From Stuttgart drive to Tübingen, then take B296 towards Herrenberg until you get to Unterjesingen. For parking drive to “Parkplatz Kirchhalde” behind the cemetery (there is no parking available at the Keltermuseum). We recommend to travel by public transportation.

Public transportation: from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof take the regional train IRE6 to Tübingen, then train RB63 to Unterjesingen Mitte, from there it is a 7 min walk (500 m) to the Keltermuseum
