American-style bowling at „The Dream Bowl“

American indoor bowling involves throwing a bowling ball (underhanded) down a well- polished wooden lane and trying to knock down 10 wooden pins – set up in a triangular pattern. If a player knocks down all the pins on the first throw; that is a strike; if it takes a 2nd throw, that is a spare. Each player has 2 chances per frame; pins not knocked down are counted against the player. That is pretty much it; more rules will be sent to those who sign up. We will break up into groups (max 7 players per lane) and then have 2 hours to rack up as many points as we can – with hopefully no gutter balls!!! Covid Note: Currently, masks are optional.
Bowling shoes:Each person needs to know their European shoe size – and remember to bring socks. Bowling balls come in weights from 6 to 15 pounds (2.72 to 6.80 kgs).
The Spar Paket includes the shoe rental; 1 drink p/person; and Nachos w/ Cheese and Salsa dip per lane. Upfront payment of 15€ p/person members / 20€ p/person non-members will be required; payment instructions to be sent upon registration. Children are welcome at a reduced rate. Please tell us how many, and their ages. Bowling ramps are available.
Meet up time is 1330 inside the bowling alley – near the counter. After being issued our shoes, we will go over to our designated lanes; near which there are places to put our street shoes and jackets. Play will begin at 1400 and end at 1600. Dinner will be at the Wichtel in the Motorworld Complex (Flugfeld) at 1700. Please state with your reservation if you are coming to dinner.
