Leonberg walking tour, on Saturday, 16 October, 2021
Dear Members and Guests,
Please join us on Saturday, 16 October, 2021, as we visit Leonberg, one of the oldest towns in Württemberg.
We will also walk through one of the few still existing examples of a courtly garden of the Renaissance in Germany – the “Pomeranzengarten” at the Schloss Leonberg.
We will meet at 15.00 at the fountain on the marketplace in the medieval town of Leonberg (for further information please see page 2). At 15.30 we will be taken on two guided tours (one in English, one in German) through the old town of Leonberg and the “Pomeranzengarten” (Pomeranze = bitter orange). The tour will last approx. 90 minutes and will lead us back into the long history of the town and its inhabitants. After the tour, approx. at 17.00, we will walk for about 6 minutes to the Chinese Restaurant “Jasmin” to have dinner. The restaurant will offer us a reduced menu à la carte (including vegetatian options) – as always drinks are extra. Please pay the nice folks from the restaurant individually on your way out.
This event is free for members, we ask non-members to pay €10 at the meeting point.
The number of participants is limited. Reservations made in the order they are received. Please state with your reservation, if you will join us for dinner.
Remember, we must still adhere to corona rules. To attend this event you must bring proof of full immunization, or covid recovery within the last six months, or a current (within 24 hours) negative covid test (3-G rules). A medicinal quality mask is required for entering the restaurant. Please wear comfortable walking shoes for the tour through town. Thank you for your support!
Best Regards,
