A Bus Tour to Bad Wimpfen on
Saturday September 15th

Dear members and friends,

You are invited to join us for a very special VIP event where the impressive silhouette of the former imperial palace and people in historical costume await you upon your arrival in Bad Wimpfen. First up, a welcoming ceremony with Claus Brechter, mayor of Bad Wimpfen, in the Rathaus (Town hall) reception room "where kings and emperors once held court", then a tour of an imperial residence of the former Staufer dynasty with guides in historical costume showing us the "Blue Tower", Stone House, Royal Chapel, "Red Tower", Hohenstaufen Gate, and the old town center of Bad Wimpfen which is under the protection of the Historic Monuments Act. Enjoy a sightseeing tour through romantic narrow streets with decorative flowers, fountains and half-timbered houses. Also, an introduction to herbal practices of the past in historical surroundings and the sampling of a fine glass of herbal liquor with an herbalist, who will even let us in on some of the medicinal secrets and anecdotes of her herb garden.

167. Cannstatter Volksfest on Saturday, September 29

Dear members and friends,

Please join us on Saturday, September 29 for a joyful visit and celebration at the

167. Cannstatter Volksfest - aka Cannstatt Beer Festival

This festival has a long tradition: still today the 24 meter high and highly decorated fruit column (Fruchtsäule) on the festival grounds is a reminder that the young, beloved Wuerttemberg Queen Katharina with her husband, King Wilhelm I, gave this Fest to the people in 1818 at the end of a period of starvation. Today Stuttgarters together with millions of guests celebrate one of the most beautiful and largest beer festivals and fairs in the world.

Our Club reserved tables number 170 and 171 in the "Göckelesmaier" Tent. We meet at

17:00 o'clock sharp
at the above-mentioned fruit column, it is a popular meeting point in front of most of the tents.

There is a mandatory consumption on the weekends of 3 beverages (1 liter of beer per voucher or any other beverage) and 1 meal per person (half chicken or any other food). Which totals to 34 € including a wrist band that allows you in and out of the tent.
After registration and confirmation by Christel Baumann, we ask you to transfer the amount of 34 € to our Club's bank account, the money must have arrived by September 25, you'll receive the bank information after your registration. Your vouchers for beverages and food incl. wrist band will be handed to you at the meeting point.

Important information - Please note: There is a mandatory minimum charge for the waiters: 60 cents per beverage and/or food order. This is their salary. Everything above the 60 cents is tip. So please support your waiters. Also note, that we have the tables reserved until the end of the day. If you do not use all your beer vouchers you can still use them another day at the Volksfest this year or at next year's Cannstatter Volksfest. We have to be in the tent at our tables by 17:30, else we lose our reserved seats.
